Yoga Pose of the Day: Lion Pose
Kneel on the floor, sitting back onto your heels. Press your palms firmly against your knees. Fan your palms and splay your fingers like the razor-sharp claws of a large feline. Breathe deeply, inhaling through your nose. As you prepare to exhale, simultaneously open your mouth wide, stretching your tongue out while curling its tip down toward your chin. Stretch wide and exhale with force, breathing out through your mouth with a hissing “ha” sound or even a loud roar. Breathing normally, release the tensions that may be affecting your posture and your jaw, and potentially creating wrinkles. Repeat this cycle; I like to do it six times.
