Bee The Change

For Earth Day 2016, our RMLifestyles Team did one of the most important things we can do to support regenerative agriculture. WE GOT A BEE HIVE!!!

A Feast of Gratitude

When gathering with a diverse group of family and friends, it can be challenging to satisfy everyone's preferences. In this video we demonstrate how to cater to vegetarians, vegans, raw foodists, and traditionalists alike so that instead of disputing about what's served on the table, we can focus on connecting around it.

Join us for recipes with love from our hearts and home to yours, from last year's Thanksgiving Feast of Gratitude.

A special thanks to musicians Donna De Lory, Avasa and Matty Love for their devotional music.

A special thanks to all our friends and family who shared their special recipes and time with us. Most especially to the chefs in the kitchen, Michael, Gail, Samantha Karlin and Jade Mars. Special thanks to Brett Harrelson, my long time buddy, and Martine for her attention to beauty. Thanks to Jon Nash for Directing. We hope to be sharing time, space and feasts with you, our friends around the world, one day soon!

Take A Stand!

Happy Fall everyone, tis yet another season to let go of the old and unnecessary!

So in full transparency and commitment to a more truthful self, and to stand for a nation and planet where we are empowered by our challenges, I share my own truths and realizations with you.

Between raising my own daughter that is rapidly beginning to tween and other blind spots in my own life that might have affected my past and present, I think there is no better day to get honest than this one.

I recently discovered that the second reason for death is suicide, which is a very permanent solution to a temporary issue. But why is this? Why are we suffering without the ability to face our shadows or fear and why do we often create the realities that we are trying to avoid?

For those of you who may or may not know me, my name is Rainbeau.  You might of even heard by now, that I was born in a teepee under a double rainbow in the Ozarks of Missouri. That my mother is somewhat of a flower child, while also a professional medical herbalist. Or heard that I am known as a yogi (maybe even a teacher, or the girl who had all those videos or deals with it) or you might have heard about my demanding everyone to do a cleanse before my wedding or handing out worms for Halloween to create environmental awareness.

What you might not know, is that yoga was my salvation during my times as a young actress, coming off all sorts of addictive drugs. That I was addicted to alcohol and cigarettes, and could have called myself a pot head more than once. Or that most of my hard core party days were spent before I had even a license to do so and having reached my drug quota, I turned to yoga, chanting and cleaning to purify my mind and body.

You also might not know something that I am realizing now…. What I was avoiding. I truly feel, that we humans attempting to be, like to find that happy place and will find any all means to get there.

Until we open up to the light and shed truth, compassion and self-love on that which we wish was not there, it continues to remain.  We try to soften the suffering with stimulants that trigger certain better feelings but the root remains.

One thing that I am learning is that the real freedom we are actually looking for takes the ability to observe, analyze and ultimately comprehend.

How can we observe if we have altered the truth, tried to falsify it or coat with smokey rose colored tipsy glasses? We can numb the pain for so long, but that does not mean it leaves until we deal with it.

I am writing this to encourage us all to tell the truth, whatever that means. We don't need to always edit to sound better or more desirable, altering reality to make ourselves more appealing to others or ourselves.

I want to encourage us to get real, speak out and up for virtue, integrity and a world where people are what they say they are. Silence, shame, guilt or the need to protect others who created pain, beat, lied cheated or have been abusive is passé. If we don't have those things, we can rectify. Make right by asking for forgiveness and changing! The truth will set us free, but we must get utterly okay with what it is.

With all our hearts and all our courage the time to face what is & has been to face reality with all that we have is here.

I spoke about some of my truths and some of the ways I am healing or have healed to Deborah Kagan the other day and I invite you to take the time to check it out and get involved.

What’s your story? What’s your truth? It’s time to share who you really are. Beneath our suffering we are all bright stars.

My initial reaction to the request of submitting a blog piece was in a word; resistance.  The voice in my head said something like “Me?  Write a creative piece??  No, I’m best at left-brain analytical problems with simple black and white answers.  I’m not a blogger and I’m too busy anyway.”  I think this defiant attitude was the easiest way to hide behind my fear that perhaps, I would have nothing valuable to say.

After breathing through it and doing a little Internet research (yes I looked up the word “blog”) I lowered my own expectations and decided to look at this assignment as an opportunity to communicate about issues that feel important.  Ultimately, I am passionate about living a happy and healthy life and part of my commitment to that means talking about what I believe in – whether in written or spoken form.  I believe revealing and sharing is an important tool for us to learn, teach, adapt, and integrate through our confusing and sometimes stressful existence. I also feel intuitively that this contributes to our living in a more peaceful world together.

There are times when telling our stories can help heal the wounds of others, and now I see with clarity that this blog provides a forum for this process.  As Rainbeau often says” What’s in the way, is the way,” so instead of running from the door that most scares me at the moment I am opening it and walking though with as much courage as I can muster.  They say fear and excitement can feel so similar in our body that we mistake one for the other, so let’s step towards creating the world we want to live in first by embracing the  “excitement” along the way.

Hello Superstars!

My name is Emily Capshaw, and I am thrilled to be joining the blogging team here at Rainbeau Mars Lifestyles! For my first post, it seems appropriate to tell you all a little bit about myself, as well as what I hope to bring to you through my posts!

I was fortunate enough to have been raised in Colorado by a health conscious mother, so leading a healthy lifestyle has always been something on my radar. However, I am always learning more and finding new ways to contribute to the well being of not only my own body and spirit, but also the health of our planet. I made the decision to become a vegetarian at 14, thinking it would be a temporary experiment. Once I realized how much better I felt, I never had the desire to go back to eating meat. As I continue to learn more about healthy eating, I feel as though I have discovered a whole new world of delectable foods, rather than feeling trapped or limited by the decision. In a addition to my work with RML, I am passionate about creating stories that people can connect to through music and film. I seek to live my life in such a way that the world may be filled with a little more beauty through the power of art and creativity. It is an honor to work alongside a team that shares these same goals.

I will be writing about the things I have learned along my path to a healthier and more sustainable life. I hope you find my future posts inspiring to you in your own personal journey towards a healthier future!

Happy Fall everyone and welcome to our new RMLIFESTYLES WEBSITE

Thank you for coming here, if I could give you a hug, I would! As the days get shorter and the world a bit more chaotic, I've never felt a more important time for us to connect in what I hope will be a fluid, accessible and supportive way. Please ask us questions, join our online tribe and let’s all become stronger as a global community.  I must admit, I have been saddened at the current state of affairs and yet remain optimistic by the numbers of us rising in awareness. You - YES YOU are the change that the world needs!

What does that mean?

How can one person do anything for world peace or healing? Environmental urgencies and issues are something that you hold in the power of your hand.  Simple choices like practicing yoga on the mat, will lead to a unification in all areas of our lives.  What we eat affects the way we feel, as do the thoughts and activities that take place in our bedrooms, bathrooms, homes and gardens. I never thought I had much of an effect on anyone else…yet, now when I look back on my life and at my present, I know that’s not true. I realize that no effort, big or small has been in vain, but there is still much more that needs to be done.

I humbly stand here for you in service, so my team and I may be the continuous reminder to nurture your most healthy, beautiful and fit self. Being part of the solution of course has its personal benefits, but quite honestly all of the individual gain won’t mean a thing if we don't have the Earth beneath our feet or a state of peace in the world in which to enjoy our hard work.

So I am standing as a witness, reminder, friend and fellow humanitarian, wherever you are, that together we can shine and make monumental shifts in our own lives and for others. I thank you for coming here today and supporting what we are up to.   For coming back and telling your friends. For standing hand in hand in unison for a more enlightened way of living... because what we need is not a revolution... but an evolution.  I’ll leave us with this intention affirmed by the Hopis and that I now use to sign my personal emails.

We are the Ones we've been waiting for.
