An Introduction to Regenerative Agriculture

Our theory of change is that new views lead to new actions that create new outcomes. This latest blog series presents a view on regeneration with respect to agriculture, the way we grow our food, fiber, and fuel. In this explanation, we put regeneration into the context of ecosystem function and use comparisons with degeneration to more fully articulate the concepts.

5 health benefits of houseplants

Houseplants have been going in and out of vogue ever since the early Greeks and Romans starting bringing their plants in from the outdoors. The Victorians loved their potted palms and the 70s wouldn’t have been the same without ferns and spider plants … everywhere. SHINE with Rainbeau Mars :: Season 1, Episode 6

Devoting time for tending to or creating a garden with our families or on our own is a truly great thing to do. It not only grounds us, teaches us the power of earth, water and sunshine and the magic of growing seeds but could save us!

THE SOLUTION IS IN THE SOIL!
If 11 percent of us did regenerative agriculture, we could help sequester carbon out of the air into the ground and potentially help support the atmosphere that will otherwise turn the oceans acidic.

If we are not part of the solution then we are part of the problem. Let's turn this ship around and recreate the garden, one where our children will be able to swim in the ocean and play!

SHINE with Rainbeau Mars :: Season 1, Episode 4

Did you know that composting is like placing money back down into the earth? Without re-mineralizing and reintroducing the microorganisms into the ground, then all the carbon stays in the atmosphere and affects are weather.

Composting, nurturing and giving back to the earth is a way to say thank you to our precious and amazing mother earth.
